What Happens During Wisdom Teeth Extraction?
Before your surgery begins, your physician can tell you specifically what to expect from the operation. At this time, as any question or specific any worries you will have. It’s continuously necessary to tell your doctor of any allergies or medication you're taking.
Wisdom tooth extraction is usually performed below local anesthesia, IV sedation or general anesthesia. The wisdom teeth are removed simply, depending on the position of the tooth and root development.
Some oozing of blood may occur the first day after wisdom tooth removal. Try to avoid excessive spitting so that you don't dislodge the blood clot from the socket. Replace gauze over the extraction site as directed by your dentist or oral surgeon.
